Diana was the Roman goddess of the moon, the hunt, nature and animals. Although she inherited many myths from the Greek goddess Artemis, Diana was originally an ancient forest deity in Italy. Near Rome a sacred grove and lake were dedicated to her and she was worshipped as a protector of life. Once a year, under moonlight, her followers would form a torchlight procession in her honour. A complex goddess, Diana combines elements from early Mediterranean tribes with the ancient Greek civilisation.
The Diana Collection is inspired by her history and myths. Her symbol is the crescent moon and she represents the protection we seek for ourselves and the ones we love.
